Nel quadro della politica per il multilinguismo, la Commissione europea ha promosso uno studio che ha come obiettivo quello di analizzare il potenziale dei sottotitoli per incoraggiare l'apprendimento e migliorare la padronanza delle lingue.

Solo il 9% degli spagnoli guarda la tv o i film in versione originale. Questa percentuale è ancora più abbassa per la lettura in lingua straniera, che in Spagna è solo del 3%, contro il 9% della media dell’UE, in particolare contro il 7% di media europea per quanto riguarda i libri, e contro il 5% di media europea per la stampa.

La demande de projections en version originale augmente. Le film Django Unchained de Tarantino en est un exemple éclatant : dans un cinéma romain, la recette des séances en version originale est supérieure. Voici ce qu’en pensent doubleurs, réalisateurs et distributeurs.
