Plurilinguism means the collapse of the mental barriers of people who conscientize that, on the one hand...(extrait du Livre d'Or "Les intellectuels et artistes pour le plurilinguisme et la diversité culturelle" en cours d'écriture dans le cadre de la journée du 23 juin à l'UNESCO)

Biblically speaking, the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, the mixing up of the languages and the departures of the disciples for their misson to all nations, represents, undoubtedly, a blessing in whose light the nations and their languages are seen and understood in a new light. Plurilinguism means the collapse of the mental barriers of people who conscientize that, on the one hand, the real progress does not consist in isolation, but in communion and mutual understanding, and on the other hand that difference does not represent a threat, but a blessing and the most authentic source of spiritual richness. Plurilinguism is the foundation on which unity in diversity can be achieved, the only desirable future for our world today. (Theodor DAMIAN) |
