The University of Warsaw, est. 1816, is the largest university in Poland, with nearly 60,000 students from all corners of the globe. Its main campus is located in the heart of the metropolis hailed a 'World Class City' by the Lonely Planet guides. The conference venue - the recently refurbished Old Library - lies in the centre of the scenic university grounds among several historic palaces. The participants will also experience the world-famous traditional Polish cuisine.
The organising and scientific committees have now completed the evaluation of abstracts submitted following the first CfP. Submissions were double-blind peer-reviewed and evaluated on the basis of relevance, originality, scientific significance and practical merit. We have accepted 86 abstracts from Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Macao, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam, and are looking forward to what is sure to be an exciting and remarkable, truly multicultural and multilingual event.
At least one author of every accepted proposal will be expected to attend the conference. Information on registration fees and dates will be available on this website shortly. We recommend that you book your flight and accommodation as soon as possible, since September is high season in Warsaw, and 2010 is the year of Chopin, with several events devoted to the great Polish composer.
The conference is held under the patronage of the Chancellor of the University of Warsaw and supported by the Warsaw University Foundation.
